About The Farmer:
Our premium Cornish porkĀ isĀ farmed locally byĀ The Cornish Farmhouse Bacon Company, a family run business with over 20 years of experience, just 10 miles up the road from Strawberry Fields Farm Shop.Ā These large white x landrace pigs are fed on home grown cereals and only have to move a few hundred yards to the abattoir, keepingĀ any stress for the pigs to a minimumĀ andĀ a saving in fuelĀ to benefit to the environment. Where possible, the pig manure is put back into the soil, reducing use of artificial fertilizer when growing crops, giving the soil a full circle of life and creating a natural, highly fertile cropping system.
